The Senior Solution Architect is responsible for leveraging their in-depth Tolling knowledge of products and solutions to add value during the pre-sales phases (both pre-bid and bid). They work closely with sales and the bid teams to understand the demands of sales opportunities, providing expert insights and recommendations that enhance the company's competitive positioning and contribute to successful bids. In addition, this role will provide support and expert guidance to Lead System Engineers in designing the overall solution with a strong focus on using standard products/solutions/implementations wherever possible driving toward high reuse across client offerings.
Responsibilities
Provide technical expertise and insights for in-house products and solutions during the pre-bid phase.
Acts as a single point of contact for the bid team in their area of expertise
Supports and mentors Lead System Engineers / System Engineers with requirements elaboration and overall solution architecture, mentoring and training.
Participate in customer meetings to understand their requirements and demonstrate how company solutions can meet their needs.
Prepare and deliver product and solution demonstrations, and pilots tailored to the specific needs and interests of potential customers (both internal and external).
Analyze customer requirements and develop the effort estimations and further input for the solution proposals that address customer needs.
Conduct and coordinate gap analyses to identify differences between current capabilities and customer requirements. Estimate the effort required to bridge gaps and meet customer needs.
Supports and coordinates the preparation of detailed bid documents, including technical specifications, project plans, and pricing models, and authors some parts as needed.
Selects products and components part of the technical solution considering: the maturity of the potential components / products; the results of the gap analysis; the feasibility of the technical solution
Defines, documents, communicates and maintains the high-level system architecture and design. Maintains an up-to-date knowledge base of available solutions, industry trends, and competitive offerings.
Has technical responsibility for the overall architecture and design of the technical solution, especially the interfaces between the products and components part of the technical solution and interfaces to external systems
Requirements:
Bachelor of Science and/or equivalent technical educational background combined with hands-on experience and 15+ years of experience in successfully designing and delivering large Tolling systems integration projects.
Possesses a sound understanding of Tolling markets, competitors and business climate
Excellent interpersonal relationship and negotiation skills.
Demonstrated ability to understand and discuss technical platform concepts, schedule trade-offs and business opportunities with technical and non-technical employees.
Experience and knowledge of Systems Engineering Principles
Experience with Agile software development process, Proficient with Microsoft office tools and Familiarity with Atlassian’s JIRA and Confluence

Salary range of 129K to 175K with full benefits package including paid time off, 401(k) and a no-cost medical insurance option for employee and low-cost for eligible dependents. Compensation will be competitive and based on your experience, qualifications, abilities and location.
